Obviate from economic convergence

15 December 2008

First things first: didn't think we'd ever have to do this again.

Second things second: didn't think we'd ever have to do this again.

Third things third: we've no idea what it means to obviate from economic convergence and neither did the Minus Column (R.I.P). It just sounds clever.

Team news
After umpteen false dawns at Camden But Actually Chalk Farm, Renaissance have started afresh by landing a leading role at the Paddington five-a-side league. Find out how we're doing here but definetely not here.

Site news
Just a quick word, an FYI - if you will, about the Rv2 website. If you weren't already aware the stats, players, and match reports pages are grossly out of date and will probably remain so.

Back to work.

Golden years
The Round Up made the mistake of listening to the news whilst writing* this update which is always a bad move if you do comedy... and we're gonna be doing some of that later... but for the time being we're gonna take a trip down memory lane and take a look at some classic headline banners over the years.

Renaissance glossary

merk
1. to make someone look foolish.
2. to embarrass or humiliate someone and brag in the aftermath.

test him!
used when a player is just about to take a shot on goal.
this phrase is often a handicap as it only serves to disorientate the shooting player and result in a wild attempt at goal.
