FremantleMedia 0 - 7 Renaissance

The boys in white have bounced back to winning ways tonight with an emphatic seven nil mauling of FremantleMedia. Casting aside the previous defeat to Avalon FC, Renaissance displayed the right footballing ingredients, and served up a sumptuous feast of 'champagne football'.
Michelangelo ran wild with four goals to his name. Scholesey grabbed a quick fire brace, and The Artist added another goal for good measure.
Knowing that a positive and attacking mindset would put the fear of god into FM, Renaissance followed suit. Within a couple of minutes of the kick off, Renaissance took the lead. Scholesey's mazy run left the FM defence befuddled. He made no mistake with the finish. It was soon two nil Renaissance. Once again the ginger fire cracker did the damage. Picking the ball up on the right wing, his subsequent shot had too much power and went straight through the legs of the FM stopper.
Renaissance continued to dominate proceedings, and an exquisite move between The Artist and Michelangelo soon made it three nil. A series of one-two passes that went right through the spine of FM media ended with the number 4 beating the keeper all ends up.
Having been a thorn in FM side all night long, it was only right that Michael Angelo would get in on the scoring act. His powerful right wing run ended with a fierce shot into the bottom left hand corner. HT 4-0.
The goals continued into the second period. Michael Angelo was once again at the centre of things. His pace and power continued to trouble a rather brittle FM backline. When put through on multiple occasions, the forward finished clinically. In truth, Renaissance could have added more than the seven that they got. A great strike from The Artist came back off the post. The Realist also went close, but was unable to find the net.
As the minutes wound down, Michelangelo completed a double brace. Despite being taken off with a slight knock midway through the second half, the forward returned and continued to impress.
In terms of the Renaissance rearguard, FM barely threatened. Masaccio had a particularly quiet game, only really being called upon once, to tip a late shot round the post. FT 7-0.
Renaissance go into next week's game against Ted Baker without a couple of key players. Despite this setback, they must continue to produce this exciting brand of football. Recreativo remain in pole position as things stand, but be sure that these artisans will not give up the league without a fight.
